  • As SQL DBA Specialist, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters
  • Responsible to design, implement, and maintain NetApp, Panzura, Komprise and ICOS (IBM Cloud Object Storage) platform to provide highly scalable, reliable, secured, highly available, fully optimized storage solution

  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum 3+ years MS SQL Server Administration
  • Demonstrable experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server or storage tiers)
  • Validated knowledge to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs
  • In-depth experience in setting up, tuning and monitoring Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping and SQL Server Service Broker
  • Prior experience Test back-ups to ensure we can meet the business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) along with fixing SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms, Install and configure new SQL Servers

  • Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)

  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
