As a News Reporter, you will be responsible for covering a variety of local and national news stories, conducting interviews, and gathering information from various sources. You will work closely with our team of editors, videographers, and producers to produce high-quality and informative news segments for our audience. Your role will be crucial in keeping our viewers informed and updated on the latest happenings in our society. Responsibilities: - Research, report and write stories for television and online platforms in a timely manner - Conduct interviews with sources and gather information for news segments - Attend press conferences, events, and meetings to gather news stories - Collaborate with the production team to develop and deliver engaging news segments - Stay up to date with current events and breaking news to ensure accurate and timely reporting - Deliver live reports and updates on breaking news stories as needed - Participate in editorial meetings and pitch ideas for news coverage - Ensure all stories adhere to journalistic standards and ethics - Upload news stories and footage to our website and social media platforms - Develop and maintain relationships with key sources and contacts in the community Requirements: - A degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field - Minimum of 2 years experience as a News Reporter in a newsroom setting - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi - Strong research and investigative skills - Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with video editing and production software is a plus - A strong passion for journalism and staying informed on current events - Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Shubh Samachar offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and a supportive and inclusive work environment.
