- *Senior Engineer Backend** *What the role is all about:** Were seeking a Senior Engineer Backend (3-5 years experience) who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of REAs cutting-edge products. Youll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the globe, to craft, build, and enhance solutions aimed at delivering outstanding user experiences. *While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include:** + Working within value-driven teams to influence and contribute to the technical roadmap, ensuring strategic alignment + Collaborating closely with a supportive team, communicating clearly and effectively + Contributing to our data systems and products to enable an exceptional user experience + Taking full ownership and accountability of individual deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and project timelines + Adopting best practices for simple, clean, reusable code, using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming *Who were looking for:** + Extensive experience in designing, coding, and testing software applications and systems + Experience with **backend** development, including strong **data modelling** skills using both SQL and NoSQL databases + Proven ability to handle SQL and familiarity with Data Warehouse and Data Lakehouse solutions, such as BigQuery or equivalent technologies + Proficiency in at least one programming language, particularly TypeScript, and familiarity with functional programming + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting resilience when dealing with ambiguity + Comfortable with Agile, and Continuous Delivery practices + Demonstrates a commitment to deliver high-quality work *What we offer:** + A hybrid and flexible approach to working + Transport options to help you get to and from work, including home pick-up and drop-off + Meals provided on site in our office + Flexible leave options including parental leave, family care leave and celebration leave + Insurances for you and your immediate family members + Programs to support mental, emotional, financial and physical health & wellbeing + Continuous learning and development opportunities to further your technical expertise *The values we live by:** Our values are at the core of how we operate, treat each other, and make decisions.
