- Accounts Executive (E-commerce) Position Overview:The E-commerce Accountant is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the e-commerce business, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle various accounting tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's growth.Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management 2. Reporting and Reconciliation Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure customer refunds are processed efficiently. Manage balance sheet reconciliations and explain variations to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. 3. Compliance and Audit Support Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS). Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, supporting risk mitigation efforts. 4. Inventory Accounting Oversee inventory accounting responsibilities, maintaining accurate records for stock receipts and withdrawals. Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation. 5. Process Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting operations. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. 6. Collaboration with Teams Work closely with finance, operations, and compliance teams to align financial strategies with business objectives. Provide financial insights to support decision-making across departments. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the e-commerce sector. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems). Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the e-commerce business's financial operations.
