Job Description

    Position: Assistant General Manager - Sales Department: Sales Product Line: Bajaj Location: Ludhiana Reporting to: VP Sales Objective The Assistant General Manager - Sales will act as the Head of Sales for Bajaj product lines, responsible for driving sales performance, building new market opportunities, and fostering strong customer and client relationships. The role will ensure sales targets are consistently met while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction. Key ResponsibilitiesSales Targets & Strategy Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets as agreed upon with management. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base, identify new business avenues, and enhance market penetration. Monitor and guide the sales team's activities, ensuring professional standards, confidentiality, and discretion at all times. Sales Pipeline & Market Analysis Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline through accurate monthly reporting to management. Collaborate with the Marketing team to devise and implement strategies that strengthen market presence and achieve desired market share. Maintain detailed and organized records of finances, sales data, contracts, and transactions. Market Dynamics & Business Opportunities Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for business growth. Leverage market insights to drive decision-making and develop sales strategies aligned with business objectives. Promotional Campaigns & Brand Visibility Plan, oversee, and implement promotional campaigns, events, and marketing activities to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. Represent the company at trade exhibitions, seminars, and networking events to explore and secure new business prospects. Performance Management & Reporting Develop and sustain a professional and motivated sales team, ensuring client satisfaction and staff development. Prepare and present consolidated reports to management, including: Sales targets and forecasts Performance analysis Budgets and expenditure Market trends and competitor activity Qualifications Bachelors degree (Graduation) in Business, Sales, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) will be an advantage. Skills & Competencies Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in market analysis and reporting tools. Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Experience Minimum 8-15 years of relevant experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the automotive industry or Bajaj product lines.,
