Room service captain is responsible for the smooth running of room service operations and providing excellent customer service:
Customer service: Provide a friendly atmosphere and quality products and answer any questions about room service.
Staff management: Ensure that employees are trained properly and follow standard operating procedures.
Supply management: Ensure that supply areas are stocked and organized
Order management: Take room service orders over the phone, relay them to the kitchen, and ensure they are delivered on time.
Food and beverage service: Set up tables, serve food, and collect dirty dishes.
Safety and sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Opening and closing: Perform opening and closing procedures
Paperwork: Complete end-of-shift paperwork.
VIP service: Provide personal service to VIP guests.
Duty roster: Prepare the duty roster for the department.
Hospitality suites: Supervise functions in the hospitality suites.
