Job Description

    A Ticketing Executive is responsible for handling flight, train, bus, or event ticket bookings, cancellations, and modifications. They assist customers in planning their travel, ensuring accuracy in ticket issuance, and providing excellent customer service.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Ticket Booking & Reservations: Process ticket reservations for flights, trains, buses, or events through online or offline booking systems.
    2. Cancellations & Modifications: Handle ticket cancellations, rebookings, refunds, and rescheduling requests efficiently.
    3. Customer Assistance: Provide customers with information on ticket availability, pricing, policies, and schedules.
    4. Coordination with Airlines/Providers: Communicate with airlines, travel agencies, and service providers for booking confirmations and updates.
    5. Payment Processing: Manage payments, issue invoices, and ensure secure transactions.
    6. Travel Documentation: Assist customers with visas, passports, and other necessary travel documents (if applicable).
    7. Complaint Handling: Address customer queries, complaints, and resolve booking-related issues.
    8. Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of ticket sales, refunds, and customer interactions.
    9. Promotions & Offers: Inform customers about discounts, special offers, and loyalty programs.
    10. Compliance & Policies: Ensure all ticketing operations comply with company policies and travel regulations.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or bachelors degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
    • Experience: 1-3 years in ticketing, reservations, or a similar role in the travel industry.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
    • Customer Service: Strong communication and problem-solving skills for handling customer inquiries.
    • Multitasking Ability: Handle multiple bookings and queries simultaneously.
    • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in ticket issuance and pricing.
    • Sales & Upselling Skills: Recommend travel packages, insurance, or add-ons to customers.
