- QA Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic QA Manager to lead our quality assurance team in delivering high-quality software products. The QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the QA process, from planning and execution to reporting and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong background in QA methodologies, CI/CD integration, automation, and experience with both mobile and web applications Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Assurance Leadership Lead and manage the QA team, providing direction, mentorship, and support. Develop and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices to ensure product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and DevOps to align QA efforts with project goals. 2. Test Planning and Execution Architect and manage comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of all application features. Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests for mobile and web applications, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing. Ensure timely delivery of test results, with detailed analysis and recommendations for issue resolution. 3. CI/CD Integration Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing and rapid feedback. Work closely with DevOps to optimize the QA process within the CI/CD framework, ensuring smooth and efficient deployments. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of CI/CD integration, making adjustments as needed to improve quality and speed's 4. Script less Automation Implement and oversee the use of script less automation tools to enhance the efficiency of the testing process. Ensure that the QA team is effectively using these tools to create and manage automated tests without the need for complex coding. Continuously evaluate and optimize automation strategies to align with evolving project requirements. 5. Mobile and Web Application Testing Develop and execute test strategies specifically tailored for mobile and web applications. Ensure cross-platform compatibility and reliability by conducting tests across various browsers, devices, and operating systems. Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in mobile and web testing to keep the QA processes current and effective. 6. Risk Management and Continuous Improvement Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues early in the development process and prioritize testing efforts accordingly. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, regularly reviewing and refining QA processes and tools. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies, implementing them as appropriate to enhance QA operations. 7. Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for all QA-related activities, ensuring clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders. Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues, along with recommendations for resolution. Work closely with project managers to ensure QA timelines are aligned with overall project schedules. Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in using automation tools, including script less automation platforms. Extensive experience with mobile and web application testing. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred: Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
