- Senior Backend JavaScript Developer Location: RR Nagar, Bangalore (Partly remote, hybrid) Type: Full-time / Contract Experience Required: 8 to 10 years About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Backend JavaScript Developer with expertise in Node.js, PostgreSQL, and cloud services, along with experience in open-source e-commerce platforms like Medusa, Vendure, or similar. As part of our dynamic team, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, integrate e-commerce platforms, and ensure seamless user experiences. Required Skills and Qualifications: 8 to 10 years of experience in backend development. Strong proficiency in Node.js. Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and database management. Experience with open-source e-commerce engines like Medusa, Vendure, or others. Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with API development (RESTful/GraphQL). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and code review processes. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on clean, maintainable code. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities: Backend Development: Develop, test, and deploy robust backend systems using Node.js. Optimize performance and scalability of backend services. Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless integration. Database Management: Design and manage database schemas in PostgreSQL. Optimize database queries for performance and reliability. E-commerce Integration: Work with open-source e-commerce engines like Medusa, Vendure, or similar. Customize and extend e-commerce platforms to meet business requirements. Cloud Services: Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Manage cloud-based storage, serverless functions, and monitoring tools. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers. Provide mentorship to junior developers and share best practices. Troubleshoot issues, debug applications, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker. Familiarity with microservices architecture. Experience with caching mechanisms like Redis.
