The sensor department develops and maintains advanced sensor solutions for all Vestas turbines.
You will be part of the Advanced Sensor Technologies, which sets the requirements for advanced sensor solutions, owns the sensor system design and specification and performs integration, test and verification of the entire sensing system.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for sub functional systems in sensor hardware area

  • You will be creating/updating the technical specifications, design verification plans, prepare procedures related to sensor systems

  • You will be delivering technical solutions in projects and actively interface with internal as well as external stakeholders

  • You will be supporting CAD designing work and ensure the work is documented according to vestas way to market

  • You will be supporting sales projects to deliver solution i.e., specific to customer needs

  • You will be supporting services by providing technical documentation for installation and maintenance

  • You will be analyzing the failure modes of sensor solutions as a part of continuous improvements and resolve the issues

  • Support prototype production for new product and ensure smooth running of production

  • Participate in supplier type / routine test on Sensors. Support on design change, improvements and implement it

  • Ensure the EMC / EMI requirements are fulfilled and potentially drive alignment with supplier and participate in lab testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor / Master's in Electrical engineering - EEE / ECE

  • Minimum 2+ years in designing of sensor systems and LV systems

  • Understanding of product development process & knowledge of all design phases from concept to implementation

  • Experience with agile methodologies project management tools (such as JIRA)

  • Hands on experience on Windchill - PDM link, CREO view or equivalent

  • Experience in working with Bill of Materials (BoM). ECM (Engineering Change Management)

  • Experience with system integration/implementation (electrical/mechanical)

  • Some knowledge of EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) and EMC testing

  • General knowledge of sensor systems such as blade load sensors, Ice detection, Lidar, lightning system, oil debris monitoring, environmental sensing and smoke detection
