- Company Description: Novum Finance is a Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) and Strategy Manager for EigenLayer. It is the interface to the EigenLayer ecosystem securing Actively Validated Services (AVSs) and offering a higher yield than ETH staking. The protocol abstracts all complexity from the end-user and enables easy collaboration between users and EigenLayer node operators. As we prepare for our Mainnet launch, we are looking for a technically experienced and highly motivated CTO candidate with a passion for blockchain technology and ideally DeFi to take Novum to the next stage. Role Description: Novum is seeking a seasoned and talented Chief Technical Officer / Senior Fullstack Engineer with extensive commercial experience, and a solid understanding of programming languages like Solidity, Java, TypeScript, GraphQL and more (other blockchains knowledge a plus). The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented developer with a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions and a strong curiosity for innovation in the DeFi space. In this role you will be developing the Back-end and Frontend Application, creating new smart-contracts and integrating smart-contracts to our protocol, be responsible for all back-end integrations (e.g. with other DeFi protocols, node operators, AVSs, etc.) and more. You will also have the opportunity to shape the technical and product roadmap. What you will be doing: Technical Development: Create and maintain sophisticated user interfaces and backend services (incl. smart-contracts) for Novum Finance products, ensuring robust and high-quality outcomes. Collaborative Development: Work closely with the Product Team to translate product visions into functional and engaging applications. Code Quality and Feasibility: Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable code for both frontend and backend systems, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues while proposing and implementing new features to enhance user experience. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for all development processes, adhering to version control best practices to ensure clarity and consistency in the codebase. Qualifications: BS, MSc or Phd in Computer Science Proven experience as a Fullstack Engineer with a strong background developing web3 applications while demonstrating proficiency in developing highly interactive, dynamic web applications. 5+ years of TypeScript/Solidity experience - Expert level proficiency in several programming languages with the ability to create and/or integrate complex smart contracts. Experience with Liquid (Re)Staking or Node Operations platforms (big plus) such as Eigenlayer, Symbiotic, ssv.network, all nodes, etc. Deep understanding of Web3 DeFi protocols and blockchain technology overall. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Fluent in English, additional language a plus.
