Job Description: Android Software Developer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Android Software Developer to join Lithium Urban Technologies. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and improving the user interface and user experience of our Android app. You will work closely with the development team to implement new features, enhance the application's performance, and ensure its quality. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Android SDK, Java programming language, RESTful APIs, UI design principles, and be familiar with various Android libraries and tools. Additionally, having experience with Flutter and iOS development would be a valuable asset.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and enhance the UI/UX of the Android app, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
2. Participate in all phases of the development process, including design, implementation, testing, and release.
3. Collaborate with the development team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
4. Utilize RESTful APIs to connect the Android application with back-end and remote services.
5. Implement Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
6. Incorporate offline storage, threading, asynchronous tasks, and performance tuning techniques to optimize the app's performance.
7. Possess a strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, from concept to deployment.
8. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
9. Publish at least one app on the Play Store, demonstrating your ability to take a project from development to market release.
10. Stay updated with the latest advancements in Android development and recommend relevant technologies and tools to improve the app's functionality and user experience.
11. Collaborate with the Flutter/iOS team and be willing to work on Flutter/iOS app development if required.
12. Demonstrate good communication and presentation skills, work well in a team environment, and possess problem-solving abilities.
13. Uphold high integrity, adhere to process-oriented approaches, and maintain a learning attitude to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Android Developer, with a proven track record of developing successful Android applications.
3. Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and handling different screen sizes.
4. Proficiency in Java programming language and object-oriented design principles.
5. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and their integration with Android applications.
6. Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
7. Experience with offline storage, threading, asynchronous tasks, FCM push notifications, and performance tuning.
8. Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries for common tasks.
9. Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git, and continuous integration practices.
10. Good understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
11. Experience with Flutter and iOS development is a plus.
12. Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
13. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
14. High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
15. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
16. Process-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
