Job Description: The Senior Director of Finance and Accounting is responsible for leading the financial operations of the organization with a focus on U.S. accounting standards, audit compliance, and tax filings. This role requires expertise in General Ledger (GL) management, finalization of accounts, and U.S. income tax filings for businesses. The role oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting processes, audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a CPA qualification and a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and U.S. federal and state tax laws. Essential Functions: 1. Accounting and Financial Management: - Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL) maintenance, accounts reconciliation, and the finalization of accounts in compliance with U.S. GAAP. - Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance. 2. Audit Compliance and Coordination: - Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit standards and U.S. regulations. - Prepare and review audit schedules and reports, responding to auditor queries and implementing recommendations. 3. U.S. Income Tax Filings: - Manage U.S. federal and state income tax filings for businesses, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. - Collaborate with tax advisors to develop strategies for minimizing tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws. - Maintain a thorough understanding of U.S. tax codes and regulations, providing guidance to the organization on tax matters. 4. Financial Planning and Analysis: - Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. - Perform routine analytical reviews of financial and operational performance, providing insights and recommendations to executive management. - Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed. 5. Leadership and Collaboration: - Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management. - Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Legal, on compensation planning, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. - Communicate financial insights, project updates, and recommendations to executive management. 6. Process Improvement and Compliance: - Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows, financial systems, and reporting tools. - Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, ensuring organizational compliance. 7. Special Projects: - Handle special projects assigned by executive management, providing strategic financial guidance and support. - Manage the financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate initiatives as needed. Requirements: - CA or CPA qualification (mandatory). - In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and U.S. federal and state tax laws. - Proven experience in audit coordination, U.S. tax filings, and financial reporting. - Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. - Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools. - Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights. - Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, and tax in a leadership role. Location: Madhapur, Hyderabad Hiring Process: Stage 1: Profile Shortlisting will begin immediately and selected candidates will receive a call from our HR Manager for a short interview regarding your application. Stage 2: Telephonic interview with the Director of the firm. The interview will be Technical and will assess the work experience of the candidate Stage 3: After further evaluation, finalized candidates will be called to the office for the last round of Interviews. Negotiation of the offer will be immediately after selection. Stage 4: We get the negotiated deal on paper and send out the offer letter.
