Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather and Determine Requirements with Stakeholders
- Responsible for working with the global team members and business stakeholders to interpret business needs, gather requirements, and write specifications to deliver reporting and analytics solutions within OBIEE
- Design and Development
- Develop ODI code to perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) for data in star schema
- Design, develop and maintain OBIEE KPIs, Reports and Dashboards
- Develops effective test scenarios, scripts and use cases with consideration to cross functional and process stream impact.
- Pursue innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to OBIEE users
- Production Support
- Responsible for troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
- Responsible for working with functional service desk and support analysts to assist in troubleshooting, while fostering learning atmosphere
- Teamwork
- Provide assistance to support analysts in determining appropriate technical solutions
- Coordinate work efforts with the offshore team for application changes, production issues, and system performance issues
- Provide coaching and share knowledge with other team members to lift the overall skills of the team
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Oversees small projects and/or tasks and phases of larger projects
2. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Qualifications:
- Degree related to Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or another relevant field
Relevant Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum five years OBIEE development experience with 11g/12c
- 4+ years of experience in OAS 5.X/6.X
- Basic knowledge in Oracle EBS modules
- Skilled problem-solve and detail oriented. Ability to identify technical risks, present solutions to non-technical personnel and influence technical decisions
- Demonstrated involvement in end-to-end deployments of: OBIEE Administration, OBIEE repositories, Oracle BI Applications, data warehousing in an Oracle environment
- Highly experienced in working with OBIA Answers, OBIA Dashboards, BI Publisher and OBIA Delivery
- Experience customizing OBIEE with style sheet changes
- Experience with use of Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with best practices of Business Intelligence architectures and processes such as Star Schema/Kimball dimensional data modelling.
- Expert level experience in design, development, deployment, and optimization of ETL routines
- Expert level SQL proficiency in constructing/deconstructing complex reports and queries
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate and support activities beyond regular working hours
- Understanding of Oracle EBS from a functional user perspective is a plus
- Experience in project based and/or engineering industry a plus
- OBIEE Certification is a plus
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure a plus
