Job Description
- Within the matrix organization of the Engineering Competence Center, the Software Engineer is in charge of the software development activities for GNSS Multi-Mode Receiver in order to deliver software that meet requirements coming from a Business Lines (B/L), with the adequate quality and maturity level, within schedule and budget
Key ResponSibilities and Tasks
- To work as an Independent contributor in a sprint team developing, enhancing and maintaining GNSS application software.
- Work in an agile team environment with responsibility of being able to work in all phases of software development lifecycle (requirement analysis, design, coding and test case implementation)
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team for execution of new requirements
- Focus on timely delivery with quality and cost
- Maintain integrity and work ethics within the team.
Skills Required
Mandatory Skills
- Should have overall 8+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development and Verification
- Strong C++ programming skills with good knowledge of OOPS concepts and Design Patterns
- Exposure to complete Software Development Life Cycle (development and testing)
- Strong experience in native and cross compiler platform Linux and/or RTOS
- Candidate should be strong in debugging software using IDE tools
- Knowledge of configuration management tools - GIT / IC Jenkins / JIRA
- Knowledge of safety standards in Aerospace (DO-178B/C), Automotive (ISO 26262) or Railways domain
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Good to have
- Experience in avionics software standards - DO-178C (DAL A or DAL B)
- Knowledge of ADA-2012 language
- Knowledge about avionics protocols (ARINC-429, ARINC-664, RS-232).
- Knowledge of scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby etc.)
- Experience in working with Navigation (GPS/GNSS, IRS, VOR/ILS) or communication (VHF, HF) systems.
- Understanding of Agile methodology
Educational Qualification
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication or equivalent
