Within the Aeronautical Equipment Technologies (ETA) Competence Center, you integrate the Hardware development section, as a component engineer.
You will participate in the design of various embedded systems in the aeronautics field, on equipment with high computing power, critical, with a high level of integrity and availability:
These are civil or military equipment such as:
radar or electronic warfare computers
flight control computers, human/machine interface equipment such as LCD displays.
You are a focal point for component expertise, considering knowledge of the market, Thaless aeronautical strategy and the specific constraints.
You will work in an integrated international multi-business team, where collaboration is essential.
Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech in Electronics Communication or Electrical engineering or equivalent with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Should be familiar with passive components, active components, connectors etc
Should be familiar with management of the standard of passive and active components for aeronautics, its promotion within the entity.
Should be familiar with the orientation towards the right components according to the Should be familiar with THALES strategy and the need for technological anticipation.
Securing choices by managing risk removal plans (relying on group experts)
Exchanges with manufacturers on requirements (packaging, mono-source, long lead times, durability/obsolescence, export control, RoHs, etc) and market/marketing watch and networking with engineering
Participation in risk assessment, product policy and cost impact
Steering of multi-business action plans related to the technical issues.
It accompanies board developments, helping designers to find solutions and ensuring the execution of the component selection process: orientation towards the component standard, considering the constraints of dissimilarity, flight envelope and supply lead time.
