Job Description
- As a Linux Engineer with expertise in Docker and Podman at Flint Lab, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable containerized infrastructure solutions. Your work will ensure that our services and platforms operate efficiently, securely, and at peak performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop containerized solutions that align with Flint Lab's mission of delivering flawless application performance across diverse environments. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain containerized applications and infrastructure using Docker and Podman. Manage, configure, and optimize Linux-based systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Develop and maintain automation scripts for managing container lifecycles and deployments. Monitor and troubleshoot containerized environments, ensuring optimal performance and rapid resolution of issues. Collaborate with DevOps, development, and testing teams to integrate containerized environments into the CI/CD pipelines. Work with open-source tools and technologies to enhance the reliability and scalability of our systems. Ensure robust security configurations and practices in containerized and Linux environments. Stay updated with emerging trends in containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift), and Linux-based systems, applying best practices to continuously improve infrastructure. Skills and Qualifications: Strong experience with Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.). Expertise in containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Podman. Experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and integration with containerization solutions. Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or OpenShift. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks. Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls. Experience with system monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios. Knowledge of securing containers and Linux environments, following best practices for security hardening. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
