Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Product Control/Business Finance function is responsible for the production of business-level revenue attribution, financial accounting, and financial disclosures.
It ensures, on a daily basis, the accurate and timely reporting of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for each business unit and ensures that the drivers behind the risk positions and P&L statements are fully understood and explained.
It also ensures that all of the Banks transactions and positions are correctly reflected in the Banks accounting records and disclosures, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Your job responsibilities will include,
- Produce daily profit and loss for the business unit/trading center.
- Provide necessary transparency of controls done either for quality assurance or for final validation and control performance.
- Obtain necessary sign-off from Front-Office (Traders) of the reported P&L.
- Perform daily FOBO (Front and Back Office) reconciliations and resolve breaks for the business.
- Participate in CTB (Change the Bank) initiatives of the team as well as domain wide.
- Liaise with different support teams for escalation and remediation of daily issues encountered.
- Collaborate with Financial Controllers and Business Relationship managers to ensure front-to-back controls are managed effectively.
- Work with different stakeholders to improve existing processes and outputs.
- Performs month-end close activities- SAP journals, reconciliations, balance sheet substantiations.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Should have exposure to Finance and Accounts profile during articleship stint.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel preferable)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good analytical, process and presentation skills.
- Should have basic knowledge of financial sector.
- Should be open to travel around the city.
- Self motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision at a demanding pace.
