Job Description

  • Provides network design leadership and assists in identifying and building solutions for the customer Network. Works with customer s planning & Ops team for design, design reviews and critical operational issues.
  • Works internally with Juniper SE and Engineering team to relay & drive functionality requirements specific to customer environment.
  • Works closely with resident engineers, customer and Juniper Technical Assistance Center to optimize network. Acts as a customer technical liaison for Juniper Networks support and development teams.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems of a diverse scope, where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Assist to customer/partner for troubleshooting the network s design and architecture issues, analyzing network and device configurations.
  • Testing product features and functionality to provide solution post implementation to meet design requirement.
  • Providing deployment guidance to ensure that implementations are consistent with design specifications.
  • Applying extensive industry experience to improve network performance and proactively analyze potential enhancements. Evaluating technical specifications for interoperability.
  • Assists customer/Partner in the development and testing of new features and solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise to expand knowledge base.
  • Hold discussions on customer requirements and assist them on network problems, design needs and the workarounds/solutions that are being tried.
  • On-field training to educate and help on customer s design and solution requirements, implementation and support personnel to configure and operate Juniper Networks products.
  • Document network design requirement and update design document time to time.
  • Validation of MOP s and assisting partner and customer during migration/implementation.
  • Adhere to Juniper process and provide best practices to help customer optimize/design network with worldwide trend/solutions.
  • Proactive alerts on security threats, compliances, bulletins & procedures.
  • Ability to run audits and work on outcomes to streamline networks.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering with 8+ of experience with relevant network troubleshooting experience. Proven experience in designing and managing large service Provider networks.
  • Strong influencing skills, design, consultation, and presentation experience directly related to operational experience.
  • Understand Service provider core & edge network, Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues, replicate customer environments and network problems in the lab.
  • Strong Junos skills and understanding of product architectures.
  • Strong Service Provider background, large ENT/ISP network design & solution provider skills
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Strong on Routing protocols & MPLS knowledge e.g. ISIS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, IPv6 & Routing Policies, 6VPE/PE
  • Understanding on VPN technologies (e.g. L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS)
  • Layer 2 protocols and technologies such as POS and Ethernet
  • Clocking & Synch technologies, PTP, Synchronous Ethernet
  • Strong knowledge on Class of service, HQOS
  • Preferred Certifications - JNCIE or CCIE
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Juniper hardware platforms especially MX.
  • Abilities to POC new solutions and then devise implementation plans.
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
  • Understanding of virtualized environments will be plus

  • This is onsite engagement and resource need to operate from customer designated location ( Manesar NCR region)
