- Job Description Proven work experience as Purchasing officer, Purchasing agent or similar role for Plastic molding. Identify potential vendors for Plastics Molding components. Prepare RFx documents based on technical input from users. Send RFx to vendors and resolve vendor queries within specified timeframes Conduct Vendor Pre-Qualification visits and vendor analysis. Understand the capacity availability at vendor end for pre planning the activities required to meet the seasonal demands. Works with best total cost solutions. May coordinate and negotiate corporate contracts for assigned commodities with the expectation of providing purchase price reductions and establishing purchase pricing. Work with the product departments to identify various cost reduction opportunities in the product category. Must be able to develop excellent working relationship with both internal and external customers as well as suppliers. Remains current on economic, industrial and other trends that affect market and prices. Ability to read engineering blueprints or any relevant technical documents. Working knowledge on BOM costing. Ability to prepare components Cost Sheet. Fundamental Technical Knowledge & understanding of Plastic molding components. Support price negotiations with fact-based information and opportunities to drive short term product cost reduction improvement. Responsible for managing all material supply chain activities that support production to meet production schedule. Keep departments in the company aware of price fluctuations to do prepare Product costing effectively. Process quality complaints for raw materials directly with supplier to avoid recurrences. Preferences Category knowledge products like Water Heater, Stabilizers, Pumps and Fans / other consumer durable will be added advantage. IT Skills: - Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel and Outlook. Exposure to platforms like SAP is an added advantage. Language Skills: - Should be proficient in English & Hindi. This position requires travel to meet suppliers across India. Experience required - 3 to 10 years in sourcing of Plastic moulding components.,
