Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Include cost-effective design preparation, computer-aided design and engineering software utilization for prototyping, testing, and design modification, and competitive proposal preparation. Other duties include feasibility inquiries, discrepancy investigation, preparation of cost estimates, and techno-commercial offers for complete systems or sub-vendor items.
A thorough analysis for justifying contingency in cases of high risk is also necessary for the submission of this estimation. Coordination with other departments is essential for smooth project execution and support for further business development.
- Having good knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes
- Collecting and analyzing data from tests on prototypes and modifying designs as needed
- Receiving and evaluating all inquiries for feasibility, maintaining a register for inquiry number, date, client details, and estimation submission date
- Studying all documents and drawings before estimation and raising pre-bid queries to consultant/client for the discrepancy in tender documents
- Attending pre-bid or technical meetings with clients/consultants
