Job Description

As a Live Transactions Monitoring Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and analyze real-time transactions to detect and prevent fraudulent activities or any suspicious behavior. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's financial transactions, regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Monitor live transactions through various platforms and systems, ensuring prompt detection of suspicious activities or potential fraud attempts.
  • Fraud Detection: Analyze transaction patterns, customer behavior, and account activities to identify potential fraudulent transactions. Utilize advanced fraud detection tools and techniques to effectively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate the potential risks associated with flagged transactions and conduct in-depth investigations to determine the legitimacy of the activity. Collaborate with internal teams, such as fraud prevention, risk management and escalate suspicious cases as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of transaction monitoring activities, including alerts generated, investigation findings, and outcomes. Prepare reports summarizing trends, patterns, and any potential areas of concern to support decision-making and enhance fraud prevention strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance transaction monitoring procedures, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide suggestions for process enhancements, automation, and optimization to streamline operations and minimize false positives.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer support, IT, and data analytics, to share insights, resolve issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent fraud. Participate in training sessions to enhance the overall fraud awareness of employees.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Previous experience in fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, risk management, or a similar role is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of fraud detection tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data.
