CYBER SECURITY SPECIALIST-JD
Job Responsibilities:
- Expertise in designing and maintaining the information security technology, standards and policy
- To support the front-line defence by analyzing potential security risks and developing mitigation measures against cyber- attacks
- To carry out assessment and auditing the security implementation.
Job Duties:
- To protect organizations and the public from hackers, scammers and other online criminals.
- Work with organizations to keep their computer information systems secure.
- To determine who requires access to which information, and then plan, coordinate and implement information security programs.
- Using a multi-layered approach, they use their specialized expertise and up-to-date knowledge to help protect against web threats that facilitate cyber crime, including malware, phishing, viruses, denial-of-service attacks, information warfare and hacking.
- To be responsible for keeping cyber crime at bay by using their proficiency in analysis, forensics and reverse engineering to monitor and diagnose malware events and vulnerability issues.
- To design firewalls, monitor use of data files, and regulate access to safeguard information and protect the network.
Required Skills:
- A bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, information system management, information/computer engineering or related disciplines with Certification on information security (such as-CISSP and CISA and additional certification on networking is an advantage)
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in security and risk management, network security/architecture, software development security or IT security related areas, including supervisory experience and implementation, and Internet and cyber security.
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with a wide range of computer systems and security tools
- Management and leadership ability
- Flexibility and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Dependability and integrity
