MRS HOTELS is a prestigious hotel company with a strong presence in the industry. We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Project Head for Hotel Development. This senior-level position is responsible for overseeing the hotel development on an already identified greenfield site, negotiating terms for the site, and leading the pre-construction, construction, and pre-opening teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Hotel and Business Development strategy for the Greenfield site, ensuring alignment with the company's overall growth objectives.
- Lead negotiations and finalize terms for the acquisition or lease of the site, considering factors such as location, market potential, financial feasibility, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the executive team and legal department, to ensure all necessary approvals and documentation are in place.
- Oversee the pre-construction phase, working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Manage the construction process, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with the pre-opening team to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the successful launch of the new hotel.
- Directs all phases of project management including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management.
- Exhibits a complete understanding of company's corporate governance policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring corporate governance policies and procedures are adhered to within work group.
- Responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant contract procurement, contract negotiation, contract execution, contract administration, and closeout.
- Contracts included company's agreements, client/vendor agreements, and company /vendor and supplier agreements. Monitors adherence to policies and procedures regarding internal governance and controls.
- Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company.
- Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports to the management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and contractors involved in the project.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and report updates to senior management, addressing any challenges or deviations from the plan.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and strategic adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards throughout the development process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years of project management experience in similar developments in terms of scale & complexity.
- Candidate must come from either a Hotel / Hospitality Industry or a leading project management company.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in Hotel Development Projects, Hotel Operations coupled with Business Development
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Exposure to ESG projects. Experience of working with /understanding of low-impact construction materials like lime, mud, stone etc.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Strong understanding of construction and real estate development processes
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Leadership Skills combined with people and business acumen.
