- The Network Security Engineer is responsible for providing expert services to Ethan Group customers in relation to implementing, managing, operating and supporting their technologically diverse IT environments.
- Coordinate technical activities with key internal and client stakeholders
- Identify and register security risks
- Develop technical change requests, migration and test plans
- Support Project Managers in managing project scope and risks effectively
- Liaise with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders to execute technical change
- Responding to Support Tickets and Service Requests in relation to internal and external customer
- networks, generally aligned to security, in a timely manner
- Responding to Security escalations from internal stakeholders
- From time-to-time, perform On Call or Planned Work outside of core business hours
- Implement, evaluate and assist in security changes and device patching of various network and
- infrastructure systems solutions for new and existing customers
- Manage Security Incidents, prioritising tickets to meet SLAs
- Technical delivery of solutions to the highest standard within agreed time frames
- Coordinating and supervising changes and outages to customer environments ensuring all work is implemented subject to the Ethan Group Change Management Guidelines.
- Engage with key Ethan Group Vendors to provide up to date technical advice to internal resources
- 5 years minimum experience in IT, concentrating on network engineering
- Hold current CCNP Security or higher-level certification(s).
- Hold current certification CCIE Routing and Switching or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
- Hold current certification Enterprise Networks SDA, SDWAN, and ISE Exam for SEs 500-470
- Strong Cisco skills. Ideally skills in Cisco, Palo Alto and/or Fortinet
- Strong Product skills with Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama and Cisco ASA Firepower
- Demonstrable time management skills, exemplary communication skills and ability to self-manage.
- Expert or high-level skill and operational experience in these key technologies:Firewall Security
- Protocols such as iBGP, eBGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN & IPSEC
- Transition and transformation design, planning & execution
- Familiarity with Project and Change Management methodologies
- Ability to communicate appropriately with client technical and executive staff
- Ability to provide accurate estimation in budget or schedule
