Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
A Video Editor is a professional who is responsible for taking the raw footage shot by a film crew and director, then turning it into one cohesive video or film.
The Key areas of responsibility include:
- Manipulating and editing film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Taking a brief to grasp production teams needs and specifications
- Reviewing shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to
Candidate Profile:
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Take a brief to grasp production teams needs and specifications
- Editing videos ads.
- Creating striking graphics for video ad
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Understanding the products and services that the clients offer to the market
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with higher officials from production to post-production process
- Planning, conceptualizing, and creating graphics to be used for ad campaigns
- Edit audio plus voice-over to match the video.
Key Search Criteria:
- You have solid prior experience are a video editor or videographer
- You possess sound technical knowledge of professional lighting and photography equipment
- You possess good colour grading sense and skills and are able to tell a story through editing
- You are organized and with a high attention to detail
- You can deliver high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- You can perform simple 2D animation, Motion graphics and VFX
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages
Such As:
Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Maya.
Experience
1 + Years / Freshers too
Education
Bachelors degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
