We are Hiring for OPD/IPD/ICU/ NURSE
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the assessment of patient care need, implementation and evaluation of programs of care.
- To be responsible for the effective running of the department in the absence of the Sister.
- To assist in the organization of the ward/department.
- To carry out enhanced duties commensurate with experience and responsibility in negotiation with the department manager.
JOB DUTIES:
- Clinical care-
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence based nursing care
- Collect, collate, evaluate and report information, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
- To ensure that steps are taken to provide a safe environment for patient, staff and visitors.
- Demonstrate nursing skills to staff, patients and relatives.
- Contribute to the setting of standards and key performance indicators for nursing care.
- To be aware of and practice professionally in accordance with the NMC code of conduct and the scope of professional practice.
- To ensure the privacy and dignity of all patients is paramount and not compromised.
- To work collaboratively across the organization.
- Ensure the effective and efficient use of departmental resources both physical and financial.
- Communication-
- Co-operate and liaise with medical staff and all other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- To ensure that when there is no Sister on duty the ward/department has adequate cover and correct skill mix of staff on the duty rotation.
- To communicate with the Sister on a daily basis regarding patient care.
- Develop knowledge, understanding and application of personal leadership skills.
- To take responsibility for /be the lead for specific areas within the department following discussion and agreement with the ward/department Manager.
- Education-
- Ensure own compliance with regard to mandatory training and PREP requirements.
- Develop own clinical knowledge and participate in the development of others.
- To participate in an annual performance review to identify the post holders development needs.
- Clinical Governance-
- Assist the ward / department Manager in audits and the development and implementation of action plans.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and clinical guidelines.
- General-
- To present a professional appearance which gives a positive image of Fairfield and a manner that is appropriate and inspires confidence.
- To attend regular meetings as requested by Management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor or Associates degree or any other professional degree or diploma in Nursing.
- Empathy
- Interpersonal communication skill
- Decision-making skill
- Critical thinking skill
- Medical software- computer skill required
- Good understanding of health information structures and technology.
- Demonstrate brilliant empathy and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a stressful and emotional environment.
