Team Leader , Scrum Master - Gurgaon - Bain @ Bain & Company

• Manage the Scrum Master team in Delhi
• Manage and supervise 4 - 5 direct reports (Scrum Masters) within the Agile Process team. These individuals are typically working on the project/product team they directly support
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and guide the Scrum Master team. This includes ensuring processes are followed properly, providing guidance on dealing with specific customers and applications, and suggesting solutions for conflict resolution
• Serve as an escalation point when issues arise. Provide guidance and direction where necessary, assist in issue resolution, balance competing interests, and escalate significant concerns as appropriate
• Ensure continued professional development of the team. This includes identifying professional development opportunities, reviewing skill plans, suggesting trainings, and writing and delivering consensus reviews
• Anticipate, track, and drive others to resolve blocking issues, make tradeoffs and manage escalations to meet committed delivery timelines. Empower team to act in this capacity for their designated projects or products
• Participate in recruiting and hiring of Scrum Masters
• Maintain culture (work ethic, at cause attitude, collaboration and teamwork) and act as role model
• Act as Scrum Master as needed

Ensure adherence to the agile process that Bain has adopted internally while continuously driving improvement of said processes

• Provide management reporting on project status, successes, challenges, risks and mitigation strategies. Ensure that the Agile Dashboard is updated regularly so leadership has real - time visibility into progress on agile teams
• Work with the Scrum Masters to gather metrics on the agile teams throughout the year. Support the Scrum Masters in improving delivery metrics like Velocity, responsiveness, predictability, quality, etc.
• Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Implementations
• Other tasks as assigned

• Bachelor s degree in an IT or Business related field
• Minimum 7 - 10 years of business experience, 2 - 3 years of experience acting as Scrum Master or as part of agile team
• Experience leading and managing others
• Experience into Project Management
• Ability to work independently and with teams on complex problems and to develop recommendations for solutions
• Ability to set clear goals and expectations and prioritize activities
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills (including conflict resolution, negotiation and customer service)
• Must possess strong communication and leadership skills, particularly strong in communicating between business and technology teams
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people regardless of their technical skill set
• Aptitude to follow technical discussions and bridge communications between the business and technical teams
• High performance and standards as demonstrated by academic or previous job experience
• Willingness and ability to travel
