Opportunity for the post of Lab Technician & Sr.Lab Technician in Research Microbiology department for a project on Yearly Fixed Term Contract

Location: Mahim

No. of Positions : 2

1) Lab Technician-

Qualification: BSC Microbiology,DMLT

Job Description for Lab Technician

-Processing of isolates/rectal swabs for ID & DST

-Perform assays to determine the presence of enzymes which convey antimicrobial resistance.

-Prepare isolates for transfer to other lab

-Enter results into an electronic form

2) Sr.Lab Technician

Qualification: MSC Microbiology,Plus DMLT preferred

Job Description for Lab Technician

-Processing of isolates/rectal swabs for ID & DST

-Perform assays to determine the presence of enzymes which convey antimicrobial resistance.

-Storing & Tracking isolates onsite

-Prepare isolates for transfer to other lab

-Enter results into an electronic form

-QA/QC of Lab procedures

-DNA extraction on pure culture for NGS

-Will be trained for NGS
