The IT/ Technical Business Analyst is a mid-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT.
Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/ problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommend solutions.
Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user and operational support.
Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Requirements:
SQL, Excel, and Knowledge of using data analysis and visualization tools.
Good domain knowledge across various verticals like Retail/ CPG etc. And understand emerging trends across these verticals Responsibilities.
Participate in data discovery sessions with customers and understand their data goals/ requirements/ pain points/ key metrics that they are interested in.
Understand data characteristics - Data Quality and Observability, rate of change of data, density, velocity etc.
Understand details about customers data sources: -Whether they are transactional or analytical in nature. -How frequently can users go to these source systems to fetch and run queries on this data. -Put necessary checks in place to ensure correct replication of customers data into DataOS. Validate the data post-ingestion. -Provide key inputs for Data analysts' and help them to create key metrics, customer segments etc. that customers would be interested in.
