Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Shall have excellent communication skill both written and oral in English and other local languages. Thorough knowledge on advanced excel , micro soft project and Power point.
- Shall prepare a road map to handle various ongoing new projects and lead a team of inspectors. Shall be ready to motivate the team to stretch the work to meet the delivery targets.
- Periodic review of KRA's and KPI's of self and the team. Initiate necessary action for non fulfillment of the set targets
- Thorough knowledge on drawing reading, GD&T, Quality plan preparation and inspection. Shall plan inspection of child parts by prioritizing the delivery time.
- Involve in each project from grass root level right from preparation of Quality plan, inspection, liaison with design and SCM for the deviations, assembly, testing, PDI and delivery of finished goods to the customer.
- Shall track complete data of all the new projects and present the status update to the reporting manager, CFT and senior management on a weekly basis.
- Thorough knowledge on various manufacturing processes like machining, extrusion, forging, casting, plating, heat treatment, pressure die casting and other relevant processes.
- Interact closely with inter departments to complete the tasks pertaining to NPD quality. Act as a single point of contact from Quality for all NPD related activities.
- Plan and procure instruments and gauges for all the new products. Plan alternate method of inspection where instruments and gauges are not available.
- Shall prepare complete set of PPAP documents for the new projects when it reaches PPAP stage.
- Maintain for all stages, complete set of balloowned drawings along with inspection reports and deviation approval report project wise in soft and hard copy.
- Conduct feasibility study & sign-off by CFT along with supplier during proto development
- Exposure on supplier audits like System, process & Product as per road map and NC's closure
- Troubleshoot defective parts & co-ordinate with supplier on corrective actions through CAPA report
- Budget preparation for new quality instruments & third party inspection.
- Co-ordinate & review with CFT team on daily basis for inward items inspection status & deviations closure.
- Participate in ECN Meetings, communicate all the challenges faced due to drawing issues to the team and update the status to the reporting manager.
- Knowledge on ERP ( SAP preferred ), ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and other general national and international standards related to dimensions, inspection etc
