Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Drawing Interpretation and GD&T (ASME Y14.5M Geometric dimensions and tolerances).
Detail Review of Customer Drawing (Tolerances, Manufacturing Possibility and Special Processes).
Creating 3D Models or Model validation as per Customer Drawings and Preparing Process Flow Diagram (PFD).
Highlighting the Queries and sending to Customer for Clarifications.
Define Manufacturing process sequence and provide technical support to internal departments such as Quality, tooling, Fixture, NC Programming, Production, SCM team and suppliers.
Process Engineering.
Selection of machines based on capability and capacity requirement.
Finalizing the Manufacturing Process Plan and Identifying the Number of Operations, Number of Fixture and Special Tools.
Creating Bill of materials and Routing in SAP.
Selection of latest cutting tools and use Right parameters.
Prepare all engineering specifications / definitions (APQP, Work instructions) for Manufacturing the assembly, Sub-assembly and Components.

Requirements:

Experience in reputed Aerospace/Automotive Industry
Hands-on experience in Manufacturing, Assembly and/or Testing of aerospace or automotive components.
Experience in manufacturing process Documentation- Process sheets, Tooling, Quality Assurance, Work Instructions.
Knowledge on product development phases and NPD processes to drive objectives.
Knowledge on Aerospace materials and Special processes- Heat Treatment, Chemical and electrochemical processes, Coating processes, Welding and Brazing.
Deep knowledge of engineering practices applicable to the manufacture of aerospace products including customer and industry standards.
Deep knowledge of mechanical manufacturing methodologies in one or more of the processes Machining, and Assembly
Strong knowledge in RCCA,8D process with hands-on experience.
Experience in design of tooling- Jigs, Fixtures, Gauges, and Test Rigs etc.
Experience in CAD- NX/Solid works/Auto CADD/Catia.
Knowledge in Lean/Six Sigma tools and Methods: 1. FMEA, Control plans, RCCA/Rapid Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Poke yoke Methods 2. Process capability, Gage R& R, Statistical Process Control methods.

Computer Skills:

Auto CAD (2D drafting and detailing)
UG NX/Catia/Solid Woks (3D Part modeling, 2D drafting and detailing, assembly & Manufacturing)
Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Outlook)
ERP (SAP)
