Job Description
:We are seeking a skilled and experienced PostgreSQL Developer to join our team in Hyderabad. As a PostgreSQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance database solutions using PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL, along with a strong background in performance tuning and database optimization techniques. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable, and reliable database solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions to meet business requirements.
Perform database tuning and optimization to improve performance and scalability.
Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Collaborate with application developers to design and implement efficient database schemas and data models.
Develop and maintain database stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices.
Perform database monitoring, maintenance, and backup and recovery tasks.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in PostgreSQL and database technologies.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL Developer.
In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration, performance tuning, and optimization.
Proficiency in SQL, including complex query writing and optimization.
Experience with high-availability and replication techniques in PostgreSQL.
Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and normalization.
Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with PostgreSQL monitoring tools and performance diagnostic tools.
Understanding of database security and user management in PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash or Python.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality database solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in PostgreSQL or any relevant database technology.
Experience with other relational databases like MySQL or Oracle.
Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions like Amazon RDS or Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
Understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
