Hardware Design Engineer & Embedded @ Lumilor

We are trying to develop an intelligent small size, high power, variable frequency inverter for some specific requirement. We want to develop a complete range of inverters that can fulfill the power requirements of our application.

Currently we have a basic prototype ready with us made by our R&D team. Further developments needed are wireless control, reducing the size and increasing the efficiency of the system. We are into car/bike customization, detailing and EL paints. We have national and International presence in detailing and customization assignments.

Essential requirements:

• Should have hands on experience in design, development, and prototyping of multilayer hardware boards
• Experience in complete Hardware Design Cycle is must
• Good understanding of electronic component datasheets, specifications and design circuit schematics
• Good knowledge on mixed signal (Analog + Digital + Power) multilayer board design with high speed ADC, DAC, DDS and communication interfaces
• Familiar with high speed design signal integrity issues, power distribution techniques
• Expertise in the circuit design tools like Cadence ORCAD Capture and other Simulation tools
• Experience in industry standard interfaces like UART / SPI / I2C/CAN /LVDS and high speed interfaces like Gigabit Ethernet/ADC / DAC/ DDS/DDR2 /DDR3. 
• Should be capable of taking the schematic level designs to a manufacturing through the paths of Requirement Specifications, Guidelines and working closely with multidisciplinary teams like FPGA firmware, RF Design, Mechanical Design, Cadence Design, EMS to meet product requirements
• Experience with board bring up and design validation with troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any issues in the assembly processes.
• Hands on experience in using testing tools like Multimeters, DSO/MSOs, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analysers, Network analyser and power supplies
• Knowledge about design optimization techniques for performance, cost and production
• Knowledge of ISO processes and documentation standards
• Strong product, customer and goal orientation 
• Capable to think analytically & conceptually 
• A good team player and have strong interpersonal skills 
• Co-working in a cross-functional team
• Good Working Knowledge of Power Electronics

Essential duties & responsibilities:

• Should design analog , power & embedded circuits independently 
• Should do schematic design , circuit simulation and analysis as well 
• Should work on I2C , SPI, RS232, CAN, LIN etc. protocols 
• Should create BOM and be involved in procurement process too 
• Should bring up the board , perform tests & generate test reports 
• Should perform EMI/EMC test, thermal & humidity test, environmental test etc 
• Should debug boards & provide solutions as well 
• Should interact with vendors & FAEs and do follow ups with them 
• Should do documentation of all his/her works as per CMMi standards 
• Should take initiatives & support other team members 
• Should support software , housing & quality team

2. Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description:

Essential requirements:

• Designs, documents and implement embedded software running on Linux or a real-time operation system.
• Conduct software peer and code reviews. 
• Recommends plan to improve software quality in products
• Participate in project requirements, plans, and schedule development
• Execute detailed level software design documents based on project requirement
• Develop software in C/C++ technologies
• 1 to 3 years of experience in embedded software development
• C experience is a must
• Ability to develop readable, robust, reliable, well-structured code is a must
• Application development interfacing with RS-485 and communications Modbus, CANOpen, Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol is preferred
• Linux experience is preferred
• Real-time operating system experience is preferred
• Web/CGI application background is a plus
• CMMI Process Knowledge is preferred
• Good communications skills
• Good Team player

Desired Skills:

• Scripting language knowledge (Perl, Python, BASH, etc.)
• Knowlwdge of Tkinter & Pyqt
• Familiar with developing and debugging hardware device
• Knowledge of machine operator inputs, sensors, control modules, electronic/electrical components
• Have some degree of mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with hardware, electrical or hydraulic schematics
• Hardware knowledge of components, system design and analysis
• Familiar with building wire harnesses and soldering
