Desired Candidate Profile
JOB ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain the databases on Azure infrastructure
- Provide first level Application DBA support for any customer issues
- Ability to troubleshoot customer issues on Azure platform. A plus for any knowledge on AWS and IBM Cloud platforms
- Identify the requirements for the following aspects of database support and management: applications, data security, data backup and retention, data archive and purge, and data recovery time objectives
- Provide analysis and report on database performance trends, operations and exceptions
- Recommend and implement corrective action to resolve database performance and capacity problems
- Able to optimize database code and system
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 5-8 years experience as a SQL Server Application DBA
- Have working knowledge on .NET framework
- Advanced knowledge of database administration, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and systems analysis procedures
- Must have the ability to work effectively with management, application developers and customers as necessary
- Must have excellent communication skills, a self-starter, and be able to work effectively with all audiences
- Must have experience working on Enterprise Applications, by building and deploying code on time according to specific technical requirements
- Work with other product architects to ensure standards are being followed for the purposes of architecture, security and best practices
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
Able to do coding using C# or any other programming language.
