Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
Your primary responsibility is to lead the development of our next generation distributed platform, aligning resources and delivery with business growth and diversification, while significantly improving service quality and cost-effectiveness. We expect the individual to be innovative and energetic with strong communications skills.
Responsibilities :
Technical Project Managers oversees execution of cross-functional development projects from initiation through release utilizing Agile/Scrum concepts, SDLC methodologies and principles where appropriate
Managing and Leading Infrastructure Operations in a Bigdata platform.
Works in partnership with Product Owners and extended team to create and prioritize the product backlog
Responsible for tracking iteration progress, actively contributing to design discussions, issue resolution and removing obstacles to ensure iteration commitments are met
Coaches teams to adopt Agile values, principles and practices, and actively encourage teams to reflect and improve their delivery capacity
Maintains dependency plan between planned sprints across engineering, infrastructure, and third parties
Breaks down barriers and shields the team from impediments precluding engineers from making progress against sprints and deadlines
Organizes and facilitates daily stand-ups and retrospectives at the end of each sprint, and creates an environment in which the team is continuously learning from the past
Engages with Product Owner, Business Stakeholders, and delivery team to understand Business needs and identify appropriate solutions
Performs hands-on reviews of product backlog, designs, code, test scripts, and results as needed in addressing delivery impediments or product quality issues
Uses their technical acumen to provide design alternatives, ask probing questions, support team in technical issue resolution
Tracks and communicates team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to the plan and published progress reports
Coordinates communications, escalates and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives .

Past Experience :
This high energy Technical Project Manager must have:
8 years of successful execution of Project Management in an IT environment with a proven track record of success within a customer-centric company
Experience in managing Infrastructure Operations is Must to have
Strong grasp of emerging technology, social media, digital and mobile trends with the ability to assess their fit within American Express
Ability to coordinate, plan and execute an IT project, paying particular focus to Cost, Schedule, Time and the Customer Experience
Accomplished leader with experience leading large projects with geographically dispersed teams
Superior relationship management skills with ability build relationships and influence broadly at all levels
Experience performing at a Program Level with excellent organization and planning skills
Comfortable speaking to all levels of leadership (Director, Vice President, etc)
Ability to demonstrate entrepreneurial instincts to problem resolution
Must be a strategic thought leader, competent and confident to make critical decisions independently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills especially at the executive level
Highly competent in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience with Agile (with accredited Certification) is preferred
PMI Certification preferred
Scrum Master Certification preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent work experience
