PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Manage delivery of editorial support services for Oxford University Press UKs (OUP UK) new dictionary projects and initiatives. The Agile Project Manager will take ownership of project delivery and assess business satisfaction with delivered results. This includes project managing the activities of one or more cross-functional teams, 3rd party companies, offshore resources and cross-programme dependencies. The Agile Project Manager will report regularly on project deliverables including progress against milestones, resources, risks and issues and take action to mitigate any threats to success. The Agile Project Manager will work with and manage the expectations of the Product Team and business stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. The Agile Project Manager will facilitate sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and testing. Proficiency in Agile management methodologies is essential. Agile facilitation: Set up and facilitate editorial support service teams through the suite of agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews. Using appropriate agile methodologies, assure that the agile team performance is predictable and productive. Generate reports. Additional responsibilities for programme level scaled agile activities and other departmental initiatives.
Programme delivery: manage and deliver a programme of editorial support services relating to multiple OUP UK content creation projects, running in parallel, in line with business requirements and overall strategic goals
Project management: In support of OUP UKs senior editors and the Content Manager, develop, scope, and plan editorial support services relating to OUP UKs projects to create new Indian language lexical content and enhance existing content for publishing and licensing, making optimal use of internal and external resources and technical efficiency to ensure that work is completed to the agreed level of quality and that schedules and budgets are met. Regularly report on progress against project milestones and metrics, identifying and mitigating any threats to success. Continually review business processes, identifying alternative solutions and new approaches.
Manage team budget: help propose organizational and programme budgets in collaboration with team managers. Oversee short and long-term team budget and provide accurate performance monitoring against budgets, including highlighting risks and issues and taking remedial actions as required. Track and manage internal budget and cross-charging processes.
Business risk management: investigates and report on hazards and potential risk events within the specific function or business area.
Stakeholder relationship management: Collects and uses feedback from stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of the programme activities. Helps develop and enhance stakeholder relationships. Implements a communications strategy, including, for example; handling of issues; managing resolutions; corrective actions and lessons learned; collection and dissemination of relevant information appropriately.
Methods and tools: Ensuring that appropriate methods and tools for the planning, development, testing, operation, management, maintenance, and improvement of systems are adopted and used effectively throughout the organisation.
Supplier relationship management: Assist with the management of external suppliers to ensure successful delivery of products and services required by the business and cost, time, scope, quality standards. Collaborating with suppliers to continually improve working relationships and processes. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
Good organizational skills

Excellent knowledge of MS Office
