Desired Candidate Profile
We seek an experienced Information Technology professional.
- The IT Security Project Lead will be responsible for supporting the IT project portfolio and the delivery of security projects for the IT department.
- The role includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and enterprise stakeholders to deliver projects according to plan.
- The IT Security Project Lead will own the process of attaining security certifications as applicable and maintain security posture as defined.
- The IT Security Project Lead will be the primary point of contact for information security governance for specific initiatives and work with global teams in various functions to ensure that Info Security contract requirement, policies and client security requirements are implemented uniformly.
Responsibilities:
Be able to discuss, talk through and represent organizational perspective concerning Information Security in governance and other meetings with clients.
Ability to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills
Work with other groups in Information Security and other Technology functions in ensuring seamless integration with security and other processes
Own the process of preparation of management dashboards outlining information security compliance measurements against an established baseline
Conceptualize and drive implementation of a comprehensive security framework as part of new initiatives
Responsible for information dissemination on Information Security Policy, Procedures, Best practices etc within the specific clients/lines of businesses
Reviewing the Master Service agreements, SOWs, DTA's and other contractual documents for existing & new clients. Also reviewing IT architecture/Solutions proposed for deals and identify inherent risks in the proposed IT solutions and suggest appropriate safeguards.
Executes the end-to-end management of security projects: including resource management, communications, training requirements, change management and budget (if applicable).
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Reviews and recommends changes, reductions or additions to the overall project
Acts as the liaison between IT and end-users when applicable
Maintains the efficiency of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, and risk assessment. Identifies and mitigates potential risks
Work with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels, including assisting in the development, training, and assignment of work/projects to team members reporting to others;
Creates a structure/environment in which team members can work together as an efficient team.
In this role, you would be working as a Security Specialist in the TechOps team and should be someone who can put security first when dealing with various stakeholders.
Should always be updated on the latest information security best practices, tools and technologies.
Serve as SPOC/SME for all security aspects for all the teams and management of the organization.
Maintain all existing security documentation, create new documentation for all security assessments and audits of the organization.
Serve as the Information Security Officer for a company by proactively guiding teams and management regularly on the best information security practices and helping them adapt to and implement these standards across processes, tools, and technologies across the organization.
Develop and maintain Information Security policies, standards, and guidelines which support regulatory compliance and security best practices
Translate security and compliance requirements into workable policy and procedures for IT and Business areas
Continuously promotes security awareness and support internal and external audits, control reviews, risk assessments, and reporting as required
Collect and perform data analysis to ensure compliance with IT controls.
Generate and distribute security compliance metrics.
Track and manage action plans for the resolution of issues identified during assessment and audits.
Will assist in the implementation of action plans as well as provide compliance support to projects in order to improve the performance of IT controls.
Prepare and collect evidence required to support litigation or Human Resources activities.
Perform IT security risk assessments and reporting on ways to minimize threats.
Work on BCP, and DRP with the relevant IT teams.
Oversee the investigation of reported security breaches
Develop a vendor management program to ensure our partners meet our security standards and requirements
Lead IT/ information security projects like SIEM (security information event management) & New IT project implementation.
To be able to work effectively to tight deadlines while providing high-quality feedback to all relevant parties.
To comply with departmental policies and standards (Change control, Problem management, and security standards).
Sound knowledge of Risk management with an ability to talk to process owners, identify potential risks within an organizational context, and work with stakeholders in recommending and implementing mitigating controls
Experienced at collating and preparing information security and compliance metrics for management consumption.
Need to be hands-on and also have a deep understanding of Windows/ Linus/ VMWare/ Hyper-V/ Storage technology
