Position :- Electrical Control Engineer.
Location :- Oman.
- Minimum Qualification for control Engineer - University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- (Preferably Power systems Engineering)
- Minimum 6yrs of experience in electrical utilities in real time operations of power system & control.
- Good Knowledge of safety procedures,in particular electrical safety rules.
- Working knowledge of AUTOMATIC generation control & Energy management systems.
- Proven capability to implement Client code , Grid Code & system Operation Procedures in electrical utilities.
- Good experiences in AutoCAD Drawing for power system and surveying works
- Power System protection awareness.
- Good communication and writing skills & computer skills.
- Valid driving license from GCC is advantage.
- To coordinate all operations on to ensure optimum system security and safety compliance. Check, approve and give instruction for all planned, unplanned and emergency switchings and assist with fault analysis on 132KV,33kV&11kV networks to ensure all operational issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively. Real time updating of single line diagrams and other asset/operational records. Oversee compliance with Operational and QHSE procedures and policies and collation of accurate system performance data
- Coordinate daily operations activity on 132/33/11kv to ensure that switching schedules for all operations (planned, unplanned & emergency) and updating single line diagrams are compliance with Company's HSE policies and procedures
- Check and approve all switching programs in order to confirm that all are being followed according to the established program.
- When available, monitor/operate SCADA systems in order to monitor the 132Kv, 33Kv and 11KV substations and auxiliary equipment ensuring the continuous power supply to all customers.
- Monitor, analyze and report on the load, availability, supply interruptions and restoration activities, in order to maintain adequate records and the results in order to prepare the contingency plans for emergency conditions.Monitor loads during the peak load period (summer season) for system that do not comply with DSSS, generate a daily report with continuous follow up of load balancing with operation team.Maintain a log for all operations on the Distribution network in order to have complete records and prepare the contingency plans for emergency conditions.Develop, update and implement a shift rotation schedule (considering requirement and physical and emotional stress to staff) in a manner fair and just to all operators / technicians without compromising system operations.
- Monitor the validity and quality of the safety documents, permits & ESR Holders in order to .
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly power system performance/activity reports as required, well as weekly incident and trip reports
