Job Description

Warehouse Assistants facilitate the receiving, organizing and shipping of products in a warehouse setting. This job is not for people who want a traditional desk job. Warehouse Assistants spend their days moving stock around the warehouse, so they have to be able to be on their feet for extended periods. They also have to be able to lift boxes, so they have to have a certain level of physical fitness to succeed in this position. The supply chain management industry is where Warehouse Assistants are directly employed, but businesses in pretty much every industry have warehouses that are staffed in part by Warehouse Assistants. Even online shopping giants like Amazon rely on Warehouse Assistants to fill their orders. This is a role that relies heavily on teamwork, so those who thrive in a team-based environment do well in this position.
