Responsibilities

Interact with Development and Testing teams for release planning and migration activities

Champion best practices for source code configuration management , promotion and validation

Accountable for ensuring quality production deliverables via effective collaboration / team work with internal and external stakeholders

Assist in the automation strategy / effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing in production prep environments

Assist in the implementation of procedures and / or tools to streamline automating build and deploy processes , and automation of other manual processes , including effective backup and roll back processes

Responsible for the execution of all release activities[pre / actual execution / post] including issues / resolutions documentation and formal communications / escalations

Must be self - motivated , creative and proactive , to work successfully in a fast - paced environment including multiple platforms and diverse technologies.

Ensure expected functionality of production deliverables through creation and execution of control plans

Assists with RCM internal reviews and audits

Provides prompt response in supporting system , software builds

Produces technical release notes , user release notes , release summaries and metrics

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 3 - 6 years of experience in Software Release Management with Java , Oracle , Unix and Jboss components

Must possess Agile / Scrum Framework release management experience

Expertise in source code repository / configuration management tools such as SVN or Git

Experience with continuous integration testing concept in conjunction with release planning

Experience with environment builds to enable automated testing including continuous integration testing and regression testing

Experience in load / performance testing and tools

Experience with infrastructure related releases and mobile application releases

Experience with development / scripting in PL / SQL and Java

Thorough understanding of the build and migration process and tools for all release components is essential

Must possess excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple , diverse tasks simultaneously

Must be flexible , adjusting to rapidly changing priorities

Experience working with offshore teams
