In the context of the eVISA- ABIS project, THALES will deliver a Biometric solution to NIC
customer. The scope of this project will be handled by THALES and local partner.
Thales is seeking to recruit one personnel full-time for the role of Local Project Coordinator.
The Project coordinator role s requirements along with roles and responsibilities are outlined
below.
The roles and responsibilities of Project coordinator can be changed during the course of
project.
1. Project In-charge
a. Minimum Educational and Technical Qualification:
i. BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MSc/ MCA.
ii. Should have over 2 years of experience in biometric software projects (covering at
least one of the modalities - Face, Finger, Iris) with a minimum gallery size of 10
million of unique records.
iii. Should have worked as Lead for at least 4 years in biometric software projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
i. Fulfill the role of local project coordinator handling interface with the customer and
local partner and to follow the development and project progress.
ii.
iii. The local project Coordinator must execute the Project Manager Communication
strategy, reporting strategy toward the Customer and local partner.
iv. Following Project Manager Instructions in term of local Co-ordination and
installation, local follow up of testing activities and deployment on the Production
Environnemnt.
v. Ensuring logistic arrangement in case there will be a need of it to facilitate work of
the Backoffice Team when in INDIA.
vi. Communicate the project plan to the customer with meaningful reports
vii. Identify the activities that require the participation of Customer team and
communicate their time requirements and schedule early enough to ensure their full
participation at the required time.
viii. Participate under the Project Manager instructions to review of project plan with
customer Biometric Management Team.
ix. Seek review and approval by customer Biometric Team for all related changes to
Project Plan.
x. Facilitate the acceptance phase on site with Customer
xi. Ensure the execution of the local partner contract : make regular meetings and
project progress status with the local team ;
xii. Ensure smooth communication between the local partner and Thales architects.
xiii. Participate to the Technical Workshops as facilitator between the customer, local
partner and core back office team.
