Job Role
Take ownership of environment maintenance and system problems as detected by monitoring and/or as escalated by Customer Service.
Work closely with the different deployment models and Application owners to measure and improve the reliability and performance of Application and Application Environments.
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of Application and Environment problems.
Work with System and Application Owners, Quality Assurance, Release Management, and others to resolve problems.
Active participation in incident and problem management.
Work to improve operations of Application, Linux, Oracle, Cloud and Docker environments.
Participate in on-call support, after-hours and weekend support.
Active participation in knowledge sharing and documentation.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent working knowledge on AWS Services, Kubernetes & Docker environments.
To establish metrics and monitor the health/utilization of AWS resources on a wide scale, using CloudWatch and other services or scripts.
Backup and Restore using AWS and other native technologies.
Infrastructure orchestration using Terraform and Ansible.
AWS Costing and Budgeting.
Creating and Configuring Nagios Core.
Monitoring and Health Checks for Dockers.
Monitoring the Nomad cluster and defining the Health checks for the jobs deployed.
Build Docker deployments with extensive knowledge on Docker Networks, Swarm and Repository Management.
Real-time experience with Jenkins and other CI/CD technologies.
Excellent working knowledge on Linux or any Unix Operating System
Strong background in Internet-related technologies, TCP/IP networking and core protocols (http, ftp, telnet, etc.)
Knowledge in SMTP, SMPP, Messaging Queues.
Knowledge in Monitoring Tools and Service Management (Support Tickets, Incident and Problem Management)
Ability to effectively document processes and mentor other team members on those processes.
Good communication skills and committed to working under pressure.
Desired Skills and Experience
2 to 4 years experience as a Technical Engineer with working exposure on Linux, Cloud & Containerization Technologies like Dockers on Mesosphere or Kubernetes with Jenkins.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Location: Hyderabad
Work Timings: Willing to work in shifts
Travel Required: Yes, if demands
