Principal Engineer
Job Overview
Part of our Cloud and DevOps Practice the Principal Engineer is
responsible for leading, delivering, and supporting, at a high-level, technical
solution on Microsoft Azure Platform for client requirements. You will leverage
Cloud and DevOps solutions and unique products to build and deploy client
solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Act as an engineering leader for technical client engagements. Lead,
deliver, design, and oversee the Azure Migration assessment, solution, and
implementation for a major client.
Design, advise and implement state-of-the-art technical solutions on
Azure projects that address clients requirements for scalability, reliability,
security, and performance.
Provide reviews on the architecture and design deliverables and support
engagement as an SME. Run workshops and cloud adoption activities with our
customers.
Contribute to the consultation between and clients to understand strategic
business needs and translate those into technical outcomes relating to effective
data solutions.
Partner with the Project Manager to provide technical support and input to scheduling, estimating activities and project delivery.
Evaluate stakeholder requirements, develop, communicate, and present
solution options to Senior Management and Enterprise stakeholders (C-Suite &
Directors).
Support our Pre-sales teams in driving documentation, written
requirements, and strategic direction. Interact with technical delivery, project,
and sales teams.
- Help setup proof-of-concept prototypes that assess the feasibility of
solutions and demonstrate to our clients how technology can be leveraged.
Recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best
practices, where relevant.
Identify, interpret, and communicate meaningful insights, conclusions,
cost estimations, workshops, presentations, and report to clients, as required.
Provide technical leadership and be a role model to all Practice engineers
by providing onboarding support, creating development plans, mentoring,
educating, conducting performance assessments, and encouraging best practice
regarding designs and delivery execution processes.

specifications, reference architectures, implementation and assist with other
project deliverables as needed.
Consulting Skills
Consulting: Manages the provision of consultancy services with a team of
Engineers. Provides advice and guidance to Engineers and clients when
delivering consultancy services. Engages with clients and maintains client
relationships. Establishes consultancy agreements and manages completion and
disengagement.
Collaboration & Influence: Initiate influential relationships with internal
and external clients, suppliers, and partners at senior management level,
including industry leaders. Lead on collaboration with a diverse range of
stakeholders across competing objectives within the organization.
Commercial & Financial: Providing leadership and assisting the PM on
monitoring activities that impact financials/and or commercial aspects of the
project. Monitoring and highlighting when out-of-scope activities are
commenced or likely to commence. Understand fully the 'Statement of Work'
for every project and assist the PM to ensure all work remains in scope.
