ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior Android developer responsible for the development and later maintenance of a fitness application aimed for the large amount of users / customers.
Main responsibility is the building and optimizing a high-quality software product.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will work with a team to develop, test, and iterate on our mobile application and features, ensuring quality through software engineering principles
- Optimize existing code, create new functionalities and execute development tests
- Beyond writing code, youre also willing to take part in all stages of the product development process in case it is needed
- Conceptual work with Figma
- Deep expertise of the Android landscape
- Finds problems and architects solutions using own discretion and expertise
- Assist in onboarding, and mentoring junior team members
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable
- Masters degree in computer science or related is a plus but not a must
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience in Android development;
- 1 years of experience in Kotlin development;
- understanding multithreading and asynchrony when working with RxJava;
- complete understanding of the life cycle of Android components;
- knowledge of OOP and design patterns, use of clean architecture principles in work;
- understanding of MVC, MVVM architecture, knowledge and understanding of basic data structures and algorithms;
- understanding how RESTful APIs and WebSockets operations;
- understanding BLE and experience working with Bluetooth connections and connect devices, SDK and Hardware;
- Android Development, Kotlin, RxJava, observer pattern, socket connection, video player or live streaming
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- English languages is must have, Spanish is nice to have
- Experience working in scrum and agile methodologies
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Communication skills
- Ability to organize its own work
- Time management
- Hands-on mentality
- Knowledge in test / release and deployment management
- Good documentation practice
