Lead Software Engineer @ Wells Fargo

• Responsibilities

• Analyzes business requirements, designs, and writes technical specifications to design or redesign integration solutions.
• Provides design-first and contract driven architecture approach to build solutions, and extremely hands-on with design and development of services and APIs.
• Establishing standards, best practices for SOAP, RESTful, OData APIs event-based integration patterns.
• Extending error handling and email notification setup along with the Log42j extension.
• Unit testing and integrating testing, build API testing using MUNIT Framework.
• Defining Global Exception Strategy for ESB (real-time, near-real-time, and batch processes) and API.
• Defining integration patterns with Salesforce and other systems. (Real-time, near-real-time, batch, API considering high availability and security.)
• Documenting use cases for real-time, near-real-time and batch processes and identifying most appropriate components of Mule ESB and API.
• Contributes to POC and experiments effort to help build new CRM/Salesforce solutions
• Test and debug prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams.
• Propose best practices/standards for development and scheduling batch operations
• As an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application, or system problems.
• Strong collaborator, able to build relationships and be a trusted partner, leads projects including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
• Assures quality, performance, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of experience in building end to end business solutions using services, micro services and APIs using Java EE and Mulesoft Integration platform.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Mulesoft Anypoint platform capabilities (Mule 3 and above projects), on premise or cloud, ESBs, SOAP and RESTful APIs and services design and development.
• Proven capability with configure and managing CI/CD pipeline, DevOps mindset, and API management capabilities with solid understanding of good practices across the API/integration lifecycle.
• Experience in API and services test automation using industry leading tools / products, knowledge of testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical ability with focus on continued learning to develop depth and breadth in key competencies.
• Demonstrate curiosity to learn and rapid experimentation in an Agile environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others.
• Deliver effective presentations and talks.
• Added Advantage : Prior experience with Salesforce apps / platform and integrating with Salesforce is a plus

Desired Qualifications

• Hands on experience with Java EE, micro services, API design and development, expertise in CICD, logging and monitoring, API test automation and performance engineering.
• Experience in creating and consuming SOAP and REST Services & APIs using Mulesoft, Java EE/Spring/Spring Boot
• Demonstrated experience in configuration, testing and deployment of Mulesoft APIs and services in DevOps model
• Knowledgeable in standard functions/modules of Salesforce.com and integration experience with SFDC is a plus
