Located in Jamshedpur and West Bokaro
Designation: Manager mine Planning
Min Qualification- B. E/ B. Tech in mining engineering+ 1st class mine manager certificate/ 2nd class mine manager certificate+ SURPAC [mine planning software]
Experience: 3-7yrs
Salary: 12LPA- 20LPA

Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Mine Planning Governance & Management:

For allocated sites/ projects, prepare data for periodic reviews of all critical mine planning inputs and reconcile actual vs planned performance.
Participate in development of key process documents and seek feedback/review through mine planning team
Participate in regular meetings to address ongoing mine planning methodologies, software tools and strategies

2. Team Management:
Assist management of personnel training and development needs as appropriate for the role.
Ensure regular engagement and work collaboratively with site technical services personnel
Provide mentoring to new graduates/team members (where applicable)

3. Project Management:
Assist management with the scoping of deliverables, timelines and required resources for all allocated projects/ mine plan activities

4. Budgeting & Cost Control:
Ensure that all business expenses are legitimate and approved by Head Mine Planning/line Manager.

5. Risk Management:
Identify project risks from a technical, HSE and cost perspective during the mine planning phase to ensure their potential impact on the project are identified, documented and communicated.
Ensure that risk management checks are used for mine design and scheduling activities.
Ensure that appropriate risk mitigation strategies are identified and make recommendation to Technical Services/ Site / Project Management.
Ensure that data and assumption used in preparation of deliveries are documented and stored in appropriate Network Locations

6. Technology Awareness:
Keep abreast of advances and changes in the software tools and technology related to mine planning through industry contacts and networks.
Seek to improve mine planning and technical processes on-sites using technology as appropriate.

7. Customer Service (internal and external):
Provide ongoing feedback to management on progress against support commitments made to customers
Ensure that all communications from the department to customers is prompt and courteous.
Work with external clients in a professional manner to deliver agreed level of service within context set by Senior Management.

8. Continual Improvement:
Key Technical specialist for Mine Planning Software
Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations

9. Health, Safety & Environment:
Demonstrates a high concern for the health and safety of self and others.
Maintain awareness of the Tata Steel Safety Policies and Procedures.
Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental design checklists are completed as part of each mine plan.
Participate in job observations if/when on-site.
