Presently, we have the below opportunity with our client.
Position: Lab Coordinator (Operations and Administration of the Lab)
Job Location: Coimbatore
Experience: 10-20yrs
Age: Max 50yrs
Client: Our Client is a well known group with R&D, Testing Laboratory in the field of Fertilizers, Organic Fertilizer, Bio-fertilizers, Micro-nutrients, Bio-stimulants, Disease Management, Pest Management, Insecticides, Herbicides, Testing services etc.
Proposed Roles & Responsibilities to be undertaken Lab Coordinator
Major responsibility includes, overall operations and administration of the laboratory viz., Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the laboratory operations and performance as per the testing requirements of NABL ( ISO/IEC 17025 : 2017)& AYUSH, New Delhi.
As a Laboratory Coordinator, it should be ensured that:
- The test systems developed and used for each of the tests performed in the laboratory provides quality analytical services at all aspects of test performance,i.e., from pre-analytic to analytic and to post-analytic phases of testing.
- Physical and environment conditions of the laboratory are appropriate for the testing performed & lab safety is established.
- Test methodologies selected provides accurate and reliable results.
- Lab is enrolled with respective proficiency testing programs & samples tested in compliance to the standard (17025: 2017) & PT provider.
- An acceptable level of analytical performance for each test system is maintained.
- Remedial actions are taken and documented whenever significant deviations from the laboratory's established performance are identified and results are reported with pertinent information needed for interpretation & when the system is functioning properly.
- Quality system documents are periodically reviewed & made available to all personnel responsible for any aspect of the testing process
- Responsibilities and duties of each person engaged in the testing is reviewed & appropriate education and refresher training is imparted. The needs for continuing education or remedial training are identified & provided.
- An operation standard, for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete on-time delivery is established.
- Utilization patterns of lab services are monitored & the top management is advised on the developing trends in testing services.
- Maintain requisite contact with internal and external customers & provide timely & appropriate response to their queries.
- Operational adherence is followed to applicable policies and procedures along with the technical and operational staff.
- Budget necessity for the lab is in compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
- All contracts entered by the lab is properly scrutinized, managed and administered.
- Guidance is provided for the development & implementation of strategies that work towards the progress of lab activities.
- Perform other responsibilities as mandated by the management and as per any other pertinent regulations.
- Other duties are performed, as & when required by the management to establish and maintain quality control/quality assurance programs at other QC sections of the production units, & provide timely solutions to the failure
