Role Description
- This position is responsible for Overall design, development of Hardware-including Microcontroller/FPGA based
- Design, component selection, schematic design, PCB layout Engineer, Board Bring up, Card level testing,
- development of application Software-including firmware development.
- Experience with any of the FPGA families from Xilinx, Altera (Intel), Lattice and corresponding design flow.
- Knowledge of FPGA architecture, IO features, IO Constraints. Thorough Knowledge of digital design fundamentals. thorough Knowledge of VHDL, experience in debugging of RTL issues at functional level or system level
- Shall have expertise in understanding the electrical (SI / Timing / EMI ) aspects of the design and shall be capable of providing solutions to the customers in this domain
- Static timing analysis, timing optimization, timing constraints, clock domain crossing, experience in FPGA bring up activities
- Communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, MDIO
- PCB layout Engineer with experience in Allegro PCB design and CADSTAR. Should be able to independently work on PCB layout, routing and Gerber generation
- Shall have experience in schematic capture, library generation, routing rules creation, signal integrity optimization, Power Supply board layout designing with knowledge of signal Isolation and others Layout tools -Altium, Mentor Graphics Expedition. Shall have worked on complex design involving RF/Analog and digital technology spanning multiple logic families
- Have complete knowledge of the PCB fabrication aspects including HDI, shall be conversant with the DFx needs of the industry
- Hardware: Design and Development of hardware for LRUs, Mixed Signal Boards, Controller Boards, Test Jigs/Rigs, ATE for Airborne, Defense and Ground Applications, Knowledge of DO-254 Preferred
- Firmware Software: Design and Development of Firmware and software architecture at system level for LRUs, Controller Boards, Test Jigs/Rigs, ATE for Airborne, Dfense and Ground Applications, Knowledge of DO-178 Preferred
- System: System level design and development from conceptual to implementation including interface design, connection diagrams, integration and Testing.
- Unit level Qualification and Certification, exposure to ESS, SOFT and Qualification Tests at Card level and Unit level.
- Exhibit significant in-depth knowledge on Components, Key Characteristics of parts, processes, techniques, methodologies, tools and equipment used with an enhanced focus on cost, safety, quality. Implements industry standards, best practices within the domain.
- Stay abreast of new technology and initiate introduction of new materials, tools, Test equipment and process automation, towards improving quality and productivity enhancement.
- Demonstrate ability and flexibility to manage multiple and significantly complex projects, RFPs independently with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

Preferred educational qualification:
- Graduate in B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering
- Strong engineering experience in Hardware design and development
- Minimum 6+ years experience in PCB and FPGA Design
- Component selection, Interface design for Test Jig/Test Rigs, ATEs
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards, harness and panels manufacturing process,
- Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA
- 10 to 15 years in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive or Industrial applications
- Highly self-motivated person and takes complete ownership of activities.
- Should exhibit poise and grace at all times.
- Must have a balanced mix of IQ as well as EQ.
- Must be able to multi-task and deliver with conviction.
