Role Description
This position is responsible for overall design and development of application Software-including Device driver
development, firmware development, define high level software specifications, define software design and
architecture, coordinate and execute software testing, assist in bench test, and flight test activities with a focus
on debugging and root cause analysis, Continuously improve software development and testing processes with
a focus on quality assurance, efficiency and speed of development, work on cross-functional Proof-of-Concepts
and assist in product realization.

Role Description
This position is responsible for overall design and development of application Software-including Device driver
development, firmware development, define high level software specifications, define software design and
architecture, coordinate and execute software testing, assist in bench test, and flight test activities with a focus
on debugging and root cause analysis, Continuously improve software development and testing processes with
a focus on quality assurance, efficiency and speed of development, work on cross-functional Proof-of-Concepts
and assist in product realization.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Software: Hands-on experience in complete embedded software lifecycle development including planning, design, development, testing, debugging and support. Familiarity with SW/HW/FW architecture/stack design, Knowledge of DO-254 and DO178 Preferred
- Excellent skills in programming critical embedded systems using C/C++ and working with linux-based embedded and RTOS systems
- Experience in programming firmware for autonomous dynamic systems/robotics is strongly preferred
- Experience in programming 8/16/32bit microcontrollers and interfacing peripherals such as sensors, actuators, cameras and displays
- Experience in implementing all common communication protocols such as UART/CAN/USB/I2C/SPI
- Firmware Software: Design and Development of window based and Linux based device driver, firmware and software architecture at system level for LRUs, Controller Boards, Test Jigs/Rigs, ATE for Airborne, Dfense and Ground Applications, Knowledge of DO-178 Preferred
- System: System level design and development from conceptual to implementation including interface design, connection diagrams, integration and Testing.
- Unit level Qualification and Certification, exposure to ESS, SOFT and Qualification Tests at Card level and Unit level.
- Exhibit significant in-depth knowledge on Components, Key Characteristics of parts, processes, techniques, methodologies, tools and equipment used with an enhanced focus on cost, safety, quality. Implements industry standards, best practices within the domain.
- Stay abreast of new technology and initiate introduction of new materials, tools, Test equipment and process automation, towards improving quality and productivity enhancement.
- Demonstrate ability and flexibility to manage multiple and significantly complex projects, RFPs independently with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

Preferred educational qualification:
Graduate in B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering
Work experience:
- Strong engineering experience in Embedded design and development
- Component selection, Interface design for Test Jig/Test Rigs, ATEs
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards, harness and panels manufacturing process,
- Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA
- 5 to 10 years in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive or Industrial applications
- Minimum 4+ years experience in Embedded System Design and development
- Highly self-motivated person and takes complete ownership of activities.
- Should exhibit poise and grace at all times.
- Must have a balanced mix of IQ as well as EQ.
- Must be able to multi-task and deliver with conviction.
